KRIV FOX 26 an FOX O&O located in Houston, Texas is accepting applications for a Full-Time Production position. Responsibilities of the position include switching and coding for Ross Overdrive Automation System. Duties will also include but not limited to audio, robotic camera operation, tune-in microwave live shots, lighting, flooring for live newscast and recorded programming.
Prior broadcast experience in a live control room environment as a traditional director / technical director is preferred. Candidate must be able to work flexible hours; early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays may be required. Will also be required to cover vacation & sick leave and all other duties as assigned. Looking for someone with strong work ethics and the ability to handle multiple tasks under high pressure while maintaining a team approach to all assignments. Weekend Digital Content Creator

RESPONSIBILITIES: Create compelling, UX-focused content related to news, events and topics relevant to local users and beyond, including text stories, photos/graphics, live streaming content, breaking news, and social media elements. Engage and build loyalty among communities. Serve as liaison to newsroom, ensuring digital and social dominance. Reach and engage users on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat and beyond. Use social listening and analytics tools like Crowd Tangle, Google Analytics, Chartbeat and Share Rocket to make informed editorial decisions. Work with Group Content Team and other FTS markets to distribute high-interest stories at scale. Follow group standards. Monitor real-time analytics. Other duties as deemed necessary and assigned.
REQUIREMENTS: 3+ years’ experience developing and publishing content, including news, on digital and social platforms preferred. BA/BS degree, preferably in Journalism, Communications or related field with emphasis on digital publishing. Excellent writer and storyteller. Superior news judgement. Impeccable writing and copy-editing skills. Overwhelming attention to detail. Thrive under deadline pressure. Stellar communication skills. Social media expert. Proficient in content management systems, video publishing, live streaming, and digital analytics tools. Video and photo editing experience (Adobe products a plus). Candidate must be able to work flexible hours; early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays may be required.

Weekend Part-Time Video Editor
KRIV-TV, the Fox O&O in Houston, TX is seeking a Weekend Part-Time Video Editor to join our news team. The Non-Linear Video Editor will edit all video content as needed for all News department media platforms including television, web, and social media. Responsibilities include posting edited video content onto all platforms; managing and editing satellite and microwave content feeds as needed for all platforms, and editing on location when needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
Four (4) year college degree in Journalism, Communications or similar field preferred. Minimum of one (1) year experience as a non-linear video editor in a medium to major television market is preferred. Must be a self-starter, work well under pressure, and be capable of editing video quickly, accurately, and creatively. Must possess good editorial judgment and be familiar with the technical operations of a fast-paced newsroom. Candidate must be able to work flexible hours; early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays may be required.
